Cali Beach Club recently opened its signature restaurant, Sake Sisters, bringing an excellent quality Modern Japanese dining experience to their $10 million rooftop entertainment precinct.
Executive Chef, Marcelino Papio Jr. has worked at some of the best restaurants in the world including Nobu Sydney, Toko, Surry Hills, and Zuma Japanese Restaurant in Dubai.
“I am excited to create a very special hand-crafted menu for Sake Sisters that is unique to the Gold Coast. I have utilised Japanese umami flavours, combined with the best fresh local produce on offer.
What sets this menu apart is the high-quality food in a fun atmosphere beside the ocean, all at an affordable price point,” says Marcelino Papio Jr. Executive Chef, Saké Sisters.
The open kitchen forms a square in the middle of the restaurant, housing both beverages and the Raw Bar, where an array of sensational fresh seafood is prepared: freshly shucked oysters with yuzu caviar and ponzu. sashimi, including Atlantic salmon, bluefin tuna, Western Australian scampi, Hiromasa kingfish and scallops.
Saké Sisters also puts its own twist on raw dishes with a salmon ceviche, wagyu carpaccio, and kingfish uzusukuri on offer, along with a selection of sushi rolls.
The main kitchen and grill deliver the rest of our culinary journey, from light options such as Spicy edamame, Wagyu and cheese gyoza and Moreton Bay bug nori tempura to Grilled Wagyu striploin finished with yuzu butter and chilli miso. Don’t miss out on the mouth-watering Miso marinated black cod.
There are several ways to enjoy the Sake Sisters’ menu. By day you can sample a selection of Sake Sisters starters, raw dishes and grilled options.
When Sake Sisters opens from 5.30pm, you can enjoy cocktails, sake or Japanese whiskies at sunset with a range of small plates to share.
To enjoy a fuller experience, either dine a la carte or linger over a degustation menu featuring succulent seafood and wagyu beef.
Offering a casual dining experience on a rooftop overlooking Surfers Paradise. In a venue boasting luxe poolside cabanas, bars, glistening pools, an outdoor cinema and a beach volleyball court, Sake Sisters looks out to the rolling waves of one of the world’s most famous beaches.
It’s one of the Gold Coast’s best places to enjoy fine modern Japanese food in a smart casual setting with ocean views.
