High Life on The Yot

High Life on The Yot

There’s something special about being out on the water and viewing the Gold Coast from a different perspective. Whether you take guests out or your partner and friends, The Yot Club gives you a glimpse of a luxurious boating lifestyle at a fraction of the cost. You can cruise amongst super yachts, jetskis and the boating fraternity, relaxing with a feast of local produce and a drink as you view the picturesque Gold Coast skyline from the water.

For a few hours you will be greeted like royalty as you embark on the world’s first luxury Super Yacht entertainment venue, sip champagne and indulge in a feast of fresh local seafood. Later you can dance to live entertainment, all the while cruising on the sparkling Gold Coast Broadwater.

The Yot concept has grown from its original 24-metre super yacht to the 40-metre long, 23 metre wide Yot Club, a craft licensed for 400 guests, an event venue that delivers ticketed and private charter events all year round.

Built on the Gold Coast at the Coomera Marine Precinct and launched in 2019, the Yot Club forms one of four craft (and one land-based venue) in the Yot fleet which are available for hire. The others include Yot Blue (24-metre super yacht), Yot 75 (22-metre luxury motor catamaran), with further plans for a 100ft super yacht vessel later in 2023. These yachts are available for private or corporate hire, or as part of a ticketed cruise, such as the one we took. The soon-to-be launched Yot Deck Pop Up will present a similar concept on land.

In each of their venues, the concept is hospitality focussed, ensuring that guests enjoy their experience and form lasting memories of their time aboard.

Embarking on the cruise by invitation, we talk to others on the yacht who have been given the cruise as a birthday present from family. Others are celebrating their wedding anniversary, while a large group of friends have taken the cruise on several occasions.

With two levels, The Yot Club is a luxurious boat. We are greeted and shown to our seats on the upper level overlooking the stage and dance floor, as well as other diners on the ground floor. We are served a welcoming cocktail on arrival, and our cruise begins with housekeeping and brief safety instructions.

A 3-course Sunday lunch follows: a first course of seafood bisque with house-made bread followed by seafood tacos. The pinnacle of the dining experience is the main course, a tower of stunningly fresh local cold and hot seafood, followed by cheesecake for dessert. Dancing follows, the convivial atmosphere established early on the cruise by welcoming staff and great entertainment, staff joining patrons in a dance on board.

The Yot Club spends alternate weekends in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, with events departing from both cities. Besides Sunday lunch, private and corporate charters, The Yot Club also runs other cruises such as Sunset Nauti Daze cruises, Apres ski cruise where the Yot is turned into a winter wonderland, as well as seasonal and event celebration such as Christmas, New Year’s Eve and Riverfire.

To us, the Yot Club is a perfect way to host guests or to enjoy a special celebration. Make your booking, dress up a little and kick off your heels. This is an exceptionally classy way to form lasting memories with friends and loved ones.
