The Gold Coast has a few iconic dining sites, the revolving restaurant at the top of Crowne Plaza being one. With a change of ownership in December 2022, the Oscars Group has undertaken a major refurbishment of the hotel. Included in the renovation is the restaurant site atop their tower, formerly occupied by Four Winds 360 Revolving Restaurant, brought back to life as Horizon Sky Dining.
Horizon Sky Dining is Queensland’s only revolving restaurant with 360º views of the Gold Coast. In understated elegance, the natural finishes and coastal colour palette show off the real star, the Gold Coast itself.
Perched on the 26th floor with a bird’s eye view, during the restaurant’s 45-minute rotation, diners can enjoy a view that encompasses the city and suburban landscapes in between the surf and the hinterland, Gold Coast suburbia threaded through with glittering waterways. Encompassing two levels of dining, each of the 128 seats enjoys a superb view.

Curated by renowned Executive Chef Jean-Marc Heussner, Horizon Sky Dining offers an exceptional dining experience. With the banquet divided into several sections, we work our way across the displays of cold seafood, entrees, salads, hot dishes including meat and seafood, desserts, fruit and cheese platters. It’s not a matter of looking for dishes we love but, because the showcase of fresh food is all so well-chosen and appealing, we’re faced with the very difficult decision of what we can afford to leave behind.
With the Pacific Ocean one of the most dominant features of the view, it’s fitting that locally sourced seafood is one of the stars of the interactive buffet feast. The seafood is simply prepared to show off the stunningly freshness of local sand crab, Mooloolaba prawns, Moreton Bay bugs, Hervey Bay scallops and Pacific oysters. The displayed banquet is a celebration of Queensland’s finest, our local produce on offer to those who feast here.
